Before I climbed up to the Jura High Altitude Trail – it runs on top of the cliff in today‘s photograph – I had lunch in a cozy mountain restaurant.
Scattered along the trails in the Swiss Jura are farms and mountain huts. Some of them have seating areas – most often indoors and outdoors – in which food and drinks are being served. Regional differences are waiting to be discovered; different styles of houses and cuisines with distinctive tastes. These mountain restaurants are ideal for sampling the local specialties.
