I passed the hamlet of Les Oeuillons with many kinds of domesticated animals – sheep, goats, horses, chickens and rabbits. Unfortunately, the small restaurant there was closed. Beyond, the narrow and steep ‘trail of the 14 turns’ [sentier des 14 contours] that zig zags up the mountain, was waiting for me. At each turn there is a yellow marking with the turn number painted on a tree. So I always knew, what I still had to accomplish before reaching today’s hiking destination.
