Creux du Van is many things: a geological picture-book on the formation of our planet, a botanical paradise, a fascinating site with breathtaking views, a mountain wildlife reserve, and a focal point of telluric energy [a power place – in German: ‘Kraftort’ – 26`000 Bovis energy units have been measured there].
The flora changes spectacularly within small distances: there are forests and arctic-alpine flora in the rock arena, and unique flowers in the high meadows. Chamois, ibex, lynx and numerous other wild animals inhabit the pristine nature reserve.
