Today’s image shows the view into a flower of a purple- and white-striped garden crocus. You can see the central style (a long, slender stalk that connects the stigma and the ovary). On top, it branches into three feathery stigmas (female pollen accepting organs). Further down the blossom there are three anthers (pollen producing organs).
Thanks for visiting, everyone, and have a great weekend!
