Tree Fly (Dryomyza anilis) (1)

Dryomyza anilis, also named Neuroctena anilis, is a common fly in the family Dryomyzidae (tree flies). It is striking orange and has large red eyes. It average length is 12 mm. Adults are found in moist, shady habits among low-growing vegetation between May and November. Very little is known of the habits of the adults or immatures.
