Large White (Pieris brassicae) (2)

The large white has a powerful flight and can migrate over large distances. It is common throughout Europe, north Africa, and Asia, often in agricultural areas. The butterfly with a wingspan of up to 6 cm, can have up to 3 broods each year. The first is on the wing in May/June, the second in August, and the third in September/October if the weather is warm enough.
