Love the delicate purple hue and the myriads of small dewdrops in this shot.

Dahlias come in many different forms, including cactus, waterlily and pompon varieties. The complex flowers of these varieties have little to offer to pollinators, though. By contrast, single-flowered dahlias are fantastic for them. They have a wide central disk that makes a great landing spot for insects and allows easy access to the flower’s pollen and nectar. Bees, bumblebees and butterflies love them.
