Jumping Spider (Marpissa muscosa) (1)

Jumping Spider (Marpissa muscosa) (1)

I spotted the jumping spider ‘Marpissa muscosa’ on the bottom side of a handrail. This handrail belongs to a footbridge leading over a pond [definition of ‘handrail’ from wikipedia: a rail that is designed to be grasped by the hand to provide stability or support].

What a fascinating, hairy creature!
