Street Art in Basel: Tramdepot St. Jakob (17)

In this gloomy time of the year, it is a pleasure to look at the ‘color explosion’ on the graffiti walls of Basel’s ‘Tramdepot St. Jakob’.

The ‘Tramdepot St. Jakob’ is a parking area for electric trams. It is located next to Basel’s main sport facilities and is primarily used to line up trams for homebound spectators after sports events. The area is surrounded by walls, on which spray painting is tolerated. These walls and the walls in adjacent pedestrian tunnels are completely covered with graffiti, which are painted over again and again.
