More than 13,000 children from Basel’s kindergartens and elementary schools took part in the huge school carnival parade. Accompanied by their teachers, about 40 cliques and marching brass bands, almost 15,000 people paraded through the city on a cordoned-off route. The parade started at 16:30 on Münsterplatz.
