Crocus tommasinianus is named for Muzio G. Spirito de Tommasini (1794-1879), botanist and mayor of the city of Triest (Italy). This crocus is regarded one of the ‘Snow Crocus’ species for blooming ahead of spring. It grows in all soil types, produces lots of flowers, and naturalizes (i.e. comes back year after year and multiplies) very easily.

23 Feb 2022Ja, das habe ich, Astrid. Die Schneeglöckchen werden von Bienen besucht, wenn die Temperaturen angenehm sind. An kalten Tagen sehe ich in der Regel keine Bienen.
