For a photograph like this one the distance between the tip of my macro lens and the lizard has to be about 30 to 35 cm. In order to not frighten the animal away with my equipment PATIENCE is required and all movements have to be executed in SLOW MOTION. Even when the lizard is ‘relaxed’ this is a very tricky affair.
