Today’s photograph was taken from one of the observation towers in the Petite Camargue. The image gives a good impression of the different habitats that are characteristic of this nature reserve.
The observation tower from which the shot was taken is ideal for studying water birds; several larger ponds are located close by. Recently, I even watch a sow [a female wild pig] and her offspring taking a bath in the pond shown here.
