Dahlia (Dahlia hybrida) (6)

In many flowers the petals are brightly colored in order to attract insects. While visiting a flower, insects are rewarded with pollen and nectar before they move on to the next flower to repeat the process. Pollen stick to the bodies of insects as they move from plant to plant. On their way they spread pollen to other flowers and cause pollination and reproduction to occur. Hence, the circle of life continues!
