Street Art in Basel: Tramdepot St. Jakob (11)

To my opinion, graffiti spray-paintings are an art form worth looking at. I love their rich colors and the varying designs. I feel a vibrant energy, which some of them radiate. In Basel, interesting graffiti can be found along the main train lines where, I assume, spraying is illegal. Basel also has a few places where graffiti paintings are tolerated, such as the walls of youth centers and the outer walls of the public swimming pool ‘Bachgraben’. At a place close to the ‘Schänzli’, a trotting circuit in the eastern parts of Basel, the walls of an outdoor tram depot are regularly repainted. I regularly visit these places and photograph the graffiti, which I like.

Today’s photo was taken at the Tramdepot St. Jakob recently.
