The mixed forest I traversed is protected and, thus, is allowed to grow naturally. Sidewise to the trail flows a weeny creek with several small waterfalls. Although I was not far from Basel, a medium-sized city with about 200’000 inhabitants, I was here in relatively undisturbed nature.
