Castle Wildenstein was always a residential castle with an estate for agriculture and husbandry close by. A succession of rich families inhabited it from the 13th century till 1995, when it was bought by the Canton of Basel-Land. These days Castle Wildenstein is used for courses, meetings, cultural occasions, weddings, candlelight dinners and the like.
