Just east of Basel’s Cathedral an elevated terrace is located named ‘Pfalz’. From the Pfalz you can see the river Rhine and Lesser Basel (Kleinbasel), and on clear days the Vosges Mountains.
Chestnut trees grow on the Pfalz. Today’s photo of tree branches covered with snow was taken there. It was captured from the bottom to the top.
